Glow Jars DIY

I've seen a few cool pics of glow jars so thought I would try one (why I do not know!)

I found a new clear jar in my front room I was meant to decorate about a year ago so thought I might as well use that.

And also found some glow sticks whilst having a quick browse in Poundland for nonsense.

Added some old glitter found in a box. And tada!!!!!!

With the glow sticks, I broke the sticks, decided on blue and cut its top off.

Please be careful if you break them or cut them they are quite dangerous and go EVERYWHERE!

I tapped the stick all around the inside of the jar frantically and it flecked everywhere inside it.

I then ended up adding yellow and another blue.

Anyway I thought it would be something to try and blog about and also NY might like to have a nose about it.

Couldn't get great pics in the dark.
And certainly couldn't in the light.

Please bare in mind this was my first time. I saw a picture of one. And decided to just do whatever without the instructions as usual.

Just the two of us

I apologise for not posting in a while.
I've had a lot to deal with.

So the story is Abu NY got a job full time up until night time.

Which has left me alone to deal with the house hold......
(Dramatic pause!)
(Insert scary music)

So I've been trying to organise us for the past two weeks as our routine has changed dramatically.

Usually he makes her breakfast and at night he baths her or i do and he gives her bottle, swaddles her and puts her to bed. That's their thing.

Last night was our first proper night without him.

Did she sleep?
No.

We managed the bath with the help of 4 flashing ducks, 1 mama duck, Nemo, his turtle friend squirt, a shark called Bruce and a building block.

She had some milk even though she has two small bottles and I couldn't find one of them which was a disaster (I have only just found it this morning!)

She went in her sleeping bag which squashed her odd pyjamas in (usually she goes to sleep in a sleep suit) and made her top rise every minute.

She was asleep when I put her in the cot. After a short while she woke up and decided she would kick all the covers off, pull down the birdies on her mobile and scream.

By the time her daddy came home, I was at the end of her cot singing row the boat falling asleep and NY was kicking her legs in the air, laying sideways across her cot having a good convo with herself.

Throughout this episode I had tried to put her to sleep everyway I could think of. Another bottle. Cuddles. Taking off her sleeping bag. Singing.

But she wouldn't go back to sleep.

Until her daddy came home and put her to bed. Then she was out like a light. Typical (I did say she is a daddy's girl right?).

I was knackered by this point I didn't even cook.
Insomnia went out the window for last night lol.

We will see how it goes for the next few month -_-

BARGAIN AT ASDA!

So we went on our family routine shopping trip a few weeks ago and I was amazed at some of Asda's new stock.

In the toy section they are selling products made by the Desi Doll company. I was pleased to see such items stocked in such a large store! Desi Doll Specialise in Arabic and Islamic toys.

They had one speaking doll left, some board puzzles and Arabic letter play-dough/cookie cutters.

For those who don't know, a doll alone is £25 in nearly every shop selling it. Which for me is personally a bit much. Unless it was a gift. A once a year gift

I was contemplating for ages like I do on whether to get something until the £15 price tag was defeated by my pride.

£15????!!!!!!

The puzzle looked interesting. A flat rectangular wooden board with pull out Arabic alphabet letters crafted into it.

The letters are brightly coloured and bold and the slots and puzzle pieces are shaped around the letter not just printed on.

When each letter of the alphabet is slotted into its matching home, the board says the name of the letter/sound aloud!!!!

This is great for children, focusing on hand co ordination, concentration, matching, listening and memory skills.
A fun activity also helping with pronunciation whilst learning a beautiful new language.

As lovely as it was I walked away.
Down the escalator.
Peering at isles.
And what did I see??????

In the clearance trolley were a few of the puzzles!!!!
Nothing wrong with them. No pieces missing, box still together.

My eyes scanned the yellow 'Whoops!' Barcode with hope.

Yes!!!!! HALF PRICE! £7.50!

You know me.
I HAD TO GET IT.
I couldn't just leave it there with all the pencil cases (one of which I also bought lol) and junk.

So in the trolley it went.

Total saved: £7.50

What to expect......

Hey everyone,

Just wanted sum up what you might find on here (If I can learn how to work this lol).

As a family but mostly myself (Umm Ny/Mummy) we want to share our experiences as a new mother and father and baby girl :)
We will be posting our views, personal experiences and step by step growth whist coping as a new family.

You will find clumsiness from my husband, shopping obsession from myself and alot of first experiences and cuteness from baby Ny.

We have a few laughs, emotional moments and stresses, alongside tantrums and excitement.

I personally will be using this as the perfect vent to post everything I buy my daughter whilst bursting to show someone.
I LOVE shopping, searching for the perfect buy, gift, anything. I am a shopaholic with an extreme case of BUY-ITIS!

If i am able to buy it -I will. Use or no use and for anyone. As you can probably guess this is starting to turn me into a hoarder (apparently! says my husband!)

I will be posting latest bargains, sales, discount codes (hopefully) my top purchases and places to shop and what to get. I'm a lover of Fashion- its sewn to my heart.

We will post our tips and advice, again mostly personal, what's on, where to go, some things to do and LOTS OF IDEAS.

WARNING: I AM ONE CREATIVE MAMA AND CANNOT WAIT TO TRY NEW THINGS!

From Baby food recipes and weekly moans, to top toys and tried and tested. I love to write (another thing alongside fashion, creativity and shopping lol) and will be posting posting posting!

Expect tips from Abu Ny (Daddy) mixed with some GREAT advice and facts (You will see what I mean about irrelevant facts as mentioned in the info post).

All in all I love to write, I love my new family and want to share my newfound motherhood with you!

Introducing our family.....

Bismillah
(In the name of God)

♥ About Mummy (Umm NY) ♥

A committed shopaholic struggling with reality in this matrix. A former Wonderlander who loves to sing and eat chocolate. Designing and being creative are what I do best. A never on timer who has a passion for fashion. A new mummy to a baby princess. MAIN BLOGGER.

♥ About Daddy (Abu NY) ♥

No baby father drama round here. Heartwarming husband to a crazy wife. Keeper of irrelevent facts. Mover of misplaced things. The glue of this family and a hardworker. Daddy dearest to a beautiful bubba.

♥ About NY ♥

A cute curly bubba trying to
Bloom. A smart minded story listener. Funny grizzly goldilocks with a flower in her hair. Extremely wiggly, fiddly and giggly. Energetic but sleepy. Moany but happy. Lover of yummy things but truly devoted to a certain bottle. Pretty in pink with bows and frills.

We LOVE eachother very much Feesabilillah.

We all live together in a high rise tower with a small inside and a huge outside in the city of LONDON.

Please note: This tower doesn't have any hair falling from a window due to
Typical London weather.

A family desperately in need of organisation whilst surviving in a cramped environment (piled with one woman's treasury of clutter),
We are a laugh providing tight knit family with big hearts and small faults. Striving for the here-after and tackling life in the 21st century.

♥ NY ♥ LOVE ♥ LONDON ♥™

May The Most High be pleased with us and give us the ability to be able to benefit ourselves and others in good ways from this venture and protect our family from harm and evil eye. Ameen.
